List of Bumiputera share recipients

KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 -- Following is the list of names of recipients of the special bumiputera shares and the list of bumiputera share ownership allocated by the Ministry of Finance between 1983 and 1998.

Among the recipients of the special bumiputera shares allocated through the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) (agreement signed up to June 15 1999) are the Express Rail Link project worth RM2.4 billion given to Express Rail ink Sdn Bhd whose principal shareholders are Datuk Dr Wan Hasni Wan Sulaiman and Rahim Ghouse.

The Kuala Lumpur Central project worth RM713 million awarded to Fresway Properties Sdn Bhd owned by Mohd Nor Mutalib, Datuk Nazri Abdullah and Datuk Khalid Ahmad.

The Kuala Lumpur Linear City project worth RM10 billion awarded to Datuk Kamaruddin Jaafar (KL Linear City Sdn Bhd), KL People-Mover Rapid Transit project worth RM1.298 billion and the Sabah Shipyard Sdn Bhd project given to Datuk Kamaruddin Jaafar.

The IPP (independent power producers) project in Lumut worth RM3.7 billion, IPP Port Dickson project worth RM650 million, IPP Melawa, Sabah worth RM200 million, IPP Perak worth RM5.870 billion, Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Bhd and Satelite Network Services, all given to Mohd Noor Mutalib, Datuk Ahmad Nazri Abdullah and Datuk Khalid Haji Ahmad, as well as the Ipoh-Lumut Highway project worth RM1 billion given to Mohd Nor Mutalib and Datuk Ahmad Nazri Abdullah.

Meanwhile, those listed under projects given approval in principle up to June 15 1999 are the redevelopment of Kampung Haji Abdullah Hukum project awarded to Datuk Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the privatisation of ambulance service awarded to Datuk Nasaruddin Abdul Jalil, the Shah Alam Imigration Department Complex awarded to Rustam Abdullah Sani and the Integrated Transportation System project at Putrajaya awarded to Dr Wan
Mohamad Hasni Wan Sulaiman.

Meanwhile, among those listed under the bumiputera share ownership list for 1998 were Datuk Ibrahim Abdul Rahman, Datuk Seri Anwar's father who owns 250,000 shares, Datuk Mohamed Feisal Ibrahim (13.4 million), Datuk Mohd Yassin Jaafar (5 million), Tan Sri Mohamed Khir Johari (250,000), Datuk Rastam Abdul Hadi (5 million), Mohd Ibrahim Mohd Zain (20.1 million), Datuk Abdul Aziz Ahmad (1 million), Datuk Abdul Rahman Sulaiman (12 million), Ainun Mohd Saaid (1.3 million), Datin Munirah Abdullah Ng (2 million), Noorjehan Rahima Abdul Hamid Jumat (2 million), Elias Abdullah Ng (3 million), Farizon Ibrahim (250,000), Datuk Ahmad Khairummuzammil Mohd Yusoff (8.8 million) and Datuk Mohd Shariff Shamsuddin (672,999) through Pengkalen Holdings Bhd.

Among those listed for the year 1997 were Datuk Ibrahim Abdul Rahman who owned 3.790 million shares through Nissan Industrial Oxygen Incorporated Bhd.

Others included Tan Sri Wan Azmi Wan Hamzah with 4.8 million shares, Datuk Wan Zaki Wan Muda (2.9 million) and Nik Azam Wan Hamzah (1.8 million) through Chuan Huat Resources Bhd. Datuk Ahmad Basri Bajuri, Datuk Abdul Hadi Sedek, Nor Hayati Haji Onn and Datin Nuainun @ Shuhanie Deraman each owning 875,000 shares through HIL Industries Bhd. Among those listed under the bumiputera share ownership for the year 1996 were Datuk Mohd Sarit Yusoh and Datuk Mohd Razali Abdul Rahman each owning 1.2 million shares and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) (10.8 million) through Khee San Bhd.

Datuk Kamaruddin Jaafar and Hamzah Zainuddin each owning 7.5 million shares and PNB (5 million) through Malaysian Mosaic Bhd, Marzukhi Ibrahim (2.8 million), Mohamed Noor Ishak (5.2 million), PNB (3.5 million) and Kumpulan Pinang Holdings Sdn Bhd (500,000) through Penas Corporation Bhd. Also listed were PNB (5.5 million), Amanah Saham Sabah, (2 million), A. Rahman Haron and Ahmad Tajuddin Abdul Majid each 750,120, Awang Ahmad Awang Amin (2.9 million), Wahab Omar (2.2 million), Mohammad Yusuf Apdal (1.5 million), Luminous Square Sdn Bhd (8.2 million), Datuk Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (6.7 million), Ahmad Johari Abdul Razak (7.2 million) and Mohammed Azlan Hashim (7 million) through Tekala Corporation Bhd. Among those listed for the year 1995 were Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (4 million), Ibrahim Hashim (91,800), Datuk Mohd Razali Abdul Rahman (5.7 million), Kamaruddin Md Nor (250,000), Koperasi Polis DiRaja (M) Bhd (4 million) and PNB (5 million) through Eastern & Oriental Bhd.

Lembaga Tabung Haji (1.3 million), Abdul Latif Mirasa (434,258), Man Mat (300,000), Abdul Rashid Ismail (1.1 million), Selecta Accord (M) Sdn Bhd (434,258) through Rex Industry Bhd. -- MORE

Among those listed under the bumiputera share ownership for the year 1994 were Datuk Mohd Tahir Abdul Manan with 700,000 shares, Prof Tengku Shamsul Bahrain (300,000), Dr Junid Abu Saham (300,000), Mohamad Ramli Yasir (1.3 million), Datin Mahyon Idros (1.3 million), Zainal Abidin Ahmad (600,000), Datuk Kamaruddin Jaafar (300,000), Mohd Hanapi Hamdan (100,000), ia Pilecon Bhd (291,589), Via Pilecon Szeto Sdn Bhd (300,053), Global Teamwork Sdn Bhd (100,000) and Hanjar Sdn Bhd (100,000) through Industronics Bhd.

Also listed were PNB, Ishak Ismail and Empire Seal (M) Sdn Bhd each with 1.7 million shares through Pintaras Jaya Bhd. PNB (1.6 million), Kudaya Makmur Sdn Bhd (6.2 million), Othman Mohd Taib (4.8 million), Mohamed Nizam Tun Abdul Razak (2.9 million), HR Engineering Sdn Bhd (1.1 million) and Mirzan Mahathir (2.9 million) through Sunway Building Technology Bhd.

Among those listed for share ownership for the year 1993 were Koperasi Polis Diraja (M) Bhd (10 million), Datuk Ibrahim Abdul Rahman (2 million), Yayasan Pahang, Yayasan Kelantan, Yayasan Melaka, Yayasan Islam Perlis, Yayasan Terengganu, Yayasan Perak, Yayasan Negeri Sembilan, Yayasan Islam Negeri Kedah, Yayasan Sarawak, Yayasan
Bumiputera Pulau Pinang and Yayasan Pelajaran Johor each with 1.6 million shares, Syarikat Bumiputera Sdn Bhd (8 million), Hamid Atan (2.2 million), Mohd Hussain Sukor (1.2 million), Johari Gosti (600,000), Abdul Haiyum Abdul Hamid (400,000), Zainal Khalid (300,000) and Gapena Corporation Sdn Bhd (500,000) through Industrial Oxygen Incorporated Bhd.
